Here is the latest in Scala units. Now up to one mile distance apart. Very cool.

Wow , those Scala's are very nice looking!     We just purchased ares , perhaps we will sell them next year and upgrade.
I kinda like the looks of the ones we have now, rather the long pager look but for a mile range who cares what they look like   Scooter3

Yeah I think we should definitely get them.  Especially with the way we ride... we are never side by side.

A mile is a lot of space!  You and Pete could use that extra distance being in large groups as well..
We have disconnected several of times from being to far apart, I can not fathom getting to go a mile  Two Thumbs
I told Rick of these and he said he had seen them and 2010 -N- 2011 will offer a lot of new stuff coming out and we have to wait  Sad

If I just took a hundred and sold are set for $150.00 , id have the new Scala's and get that mile   Whistle

That would be awesome, but I would either have to pay you something for them or use them as donation for the club as discussed in the past.

ps did it say when the Q4 is going to be available?

These units are the BOMB!! Pete and I fought them off for a bit because was it really worth spending the money?

The answer is without a doubt, worth every penny!!

They TOTALLY blow away the Q2's we owned in every way!

Yes the unit is larger however doesn't look as large on a full face helmet as compared to the Pratt's 1/2 shells. The reason they are larger is proof in the pudding as they say.

--The sound quality is 100 times better than the Q2, almost to loud at times.

--The FM radio is the what it should have always been...perfect reception.  Easy PC programming of stations or while on helmet.

--Bluetooth ADAP picks up my mp3 player in my cell phone as well as my Pandora radio app. All in bluetooth stereo no need for an extra mp3 player or head buds!!  As I listen to the tunes, Pete and I can still be connected and talking.

--They will connect to another Scala and are backwards compatible. We can be hooked up to a 3 way conference!  With Pete and I having the G4 we can hook up 4 way!  Note this is simultaneous not one to one to one.....

--Firmware upgradable, already had an upgrade.

--Setup is much more user friendly so to are daily operations!

--Most importantly for Pete and I was the one mile range.  We do not ride side by side on group rides.  The new units will keep up better connected.

There are many many more features which make this a great investment and upgrade.
